Sunday School

All children and youth from three-year-olds through twelfth grade are invited to attend Sunday School classes. Volunteer teachers and clergy offer classes that explore every aspect of faith, such as who God is, the Bible, prayer, the Church and the sacraments, and how we love and serve our neighbors. Classes for children and youth are held each Sunday during the Education Hour from 10:15AM until 11:00AM.

Sunday School Programs:

Godly Play – Potty-trained three-year-olds through Preschool

St. Nicholas Room (Room 122, 1st Floor)

Godly Play is designed to prepare a special environment for our children to explore their relationship with God. This program teaches children the art of using Christian language through parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives. Godly Play respects the innate spirituality of children and encourages their curiosity and imagination, inviting the children to create meaning for themselves through their participation in biblical stories and liturgical action.

This program is divided into 3 age groups, and youth stay with the same group of students for their entire time in the program.

Youth meet with adult sponsors during the 10:15 Christian Formation hour. They also gather for fellowship and fun on the first Sunday of each month from 5:30 to 8PM and take part in many other activities, parish events, and Diocesan youth retreats throughout the year.
